Addis Ababa, April 27, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia is a preferred country in providing skilled manpower to the Republic of Korean labor market, said Ambassador Kang Seokhee.
Ethiopia’s Minister of Labor & Skills, Muferihat Kamil, held a discussion with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ethiopia, Kang Seokhee.
It is indicated that they discussed extensively on the conditions to strengthen cooperation frameworks of the two countries.
Following her discussion with the Ambassador, the Minister disclosed via her social media post that their discussion focused on the conditions for cooperation by adopting the scientific methods from the experience of the Republic of Korea to bolster entrepreneurial skills of the youth in Ethiopia.
She also briefed the ambassador of the massive desire of the Ethiopian government to work together by augmenting the fields of cooperation, including sending skilled manpower to the East Asian nation.
On his part, Ambassador Kang Seokhee thanked the brave Ethiopians on behalf of the people and government of the Republic of Korea, remembering their sacrifices to the people of the Republic of Korea during their struggle.
The Ambassador also stated that his country will support Ethiopia’s reform works by modernizing the technical and vocational training sector to produce qualified professionals to be competitive in the world market.
He stressed that Ethiopia is their main preferred country in terms of providing skilled manpower to Republic of Korea’s labor market, adding that it is the first country in Africa to which the request was made.
