Addis Ababa, January 9, 2024 (FBC) – Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure has announced its readiness to unveil modern Land Information Management System (LIMS). The Ministry has signed a 30 million USD contract agreement with Republic of Korea’s company named WAVUS JV in a bid to launch the LIMS project.
The 30 million USD budget for the implementation of the project has been secured from the government of Republic of Korea, according to the Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure.
State Minister for Urban and Infrastructure, Fenta Dejen and CEO of WAVUS JV, Hak Sung Kim have signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
On the signing ceremony, the Urban and Infrastructure Minister Chaltu Sani, stated that Ethiopia and Republic of Korea have been enjoying a historical and longstanding bilateral relationship cemented with blood calling the agreement monumental in taking the ties between the two countries to the next level.
It is stated on the occasion that the LIMS will be implemented in Adama, Hawassa, Wolaita Sodo and Bahir Dar cities.
