Addis Ababa, June 10, 2024 (FBC) – Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of Finland, Ville Tavio, met today with the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Ambassador Mesganu Arga.
During their constructive dialogue, Minister Tavio expressed Finland’s intent to deepen and expand its trade and development cooperation with Ethiopia.
Ambassador Mesganu, in turn, invited Finland to actively engage in Ethiopia, particularly in the spheres of trade and investment.
He also conveyed Ethiopia’s appreciation for Finland’s valuable support in various domains of their shared development cooperation efforts.
The two sides further agreed to convene the Ethiopia-Finnish Joint Political Consultation in the near future, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Their discussions also encompassed other bilateral matters as well as relevant international issues, reflecting the mutual desire to strengthen the partnership between Ethiopia and Finland.
