Ethiopia encourages Japanese investment in tourism sector

Addis Ababa, October 22, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Japan, Daba Debele, has extended an invitation to Japanese investors to explore tourism investment opportunities in Ethiopia, along with other potential business ventures.

The Ethiopian Embassy in Japan hosted a tourism forum aimed at showcasing the country’s exquisite tourist attractions. During the event, Ambassador Debele highlighted Ethiopia’s rich tourism resources and various destinations, urging Japanese investors to consider engaging in tourism and other fields within Ethiopia.

He emphasized that Ethiopian Airlines is the sole airline directly connecting Japan to Africa, presenting an excellent opportunity for Japanese citizens to visit Ethiopia and other African countries.

The forum was attended by ambassadors, diplomats, and other invited guests, according to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
