Addis Ababa, February 18, 2021 (FBC) –Ethiopian and Djibouti officials today presided over the renovation of the 80km Daguru-Dikhil road, which is part of the Galafi highway.
The event was attended by State Ministers of Transport, Kassahun Gofe and Awel Wagris and Transport and Equipment Minister of Djibouti, Moussa Mohammed, among others.
Kassahun Gofe on the occasion said the refurbishment of the road would help to address problems along the Ethiopia-Djibouti transport corridor, main trading route between the two countries.
Ethiopia and Djibouti signed an agreement to repair the road last October in attendance of Minister of Transport Dagmawit Moges and Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority Director, Abubeker Oumer Haji.
