Addis Ababa, April 27, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia has reported one new case of the coronavirus (COVID-19), out of the 943 samples taken over the past 24 hours.
A 45-year-old British national of Ethiopian origin has tested positive for the virus, said the Ministry of Health in a statement today.
He had a travel history from the United Kingdom (UK) and was in a mandatory quarantine, the statement added.
Nine people have also recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 50.
The total number of confirmed cases now is 124. Deaths remain at 3, with overall test count stands at 14, 588.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide has surpassed more than 3 million, with more than 207,000 deaths and more than 882,000 recoveries.
