Ethiopia committed to continue its contribution to UN reform: Deputy PM 

Addis Ababa, October 27, 2021 (FBC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Demeke Mekonnen underlined that Ethiopia is committed to continue its contribution to the UN Development System reform as a founding member country.

Demeke attended the celebration of the United Nations Day in Addis Ababa yesterday.

On the occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister said Ethiopia is committed to the principles of the UN pledging all the neccessary support for organization’s activities in Ethiopia.

Saying that the government has carried out detailed briefings to clarify the UN about the current situation in the country, Demeke expressed confidence that the organization will play constructive role in addressing circumstances in accordance with the fact on the ground.
