Addis Ababa, November 22, 2024 (FBC) – The Labor and Skills Minister Muferihat Kamil, in a social media post, announced that Ethiopia and China have signed MoU to forge collaboration in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
“We are excited to announce a significant step forward in our collaboration with China,” Muferihat noted.
“At the World Technical and Vocational Development Conference, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese Government to elevate our partnership,” she explained.
The agreement, signed with the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, focuses on enhancing economic and social development by empowering citizens and fostering stronger people-to-people connections through technical and vocational training, according to the Minister.
“With this agreement, we aim to strengthen the Belt and Road Initiative and deepen China-Africa relations for mutual benefit,” Muferihat added.
