Addis Ababa, March 13, 2025 (FMC) – Ethiopia and China marked the 55th anniversary of their diplomatic relations with a grand celebration in Beijing, under the theme “55 Years: A Legacy of Strong partnership for Shared Prosperity.”
On the occasion, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to China, Ambassador Tefera Derbew said the 50-year milestone is not merely a reflection of time but a testament to the enduring friendship, mutual respect, and shared aspirations that have shaped Ethio-China relations.
China’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chen Xiaodong, on his part, said Ethiopia is one of China’s most valued partners in Africa, and that the cooperation has grown into an all-weather strategic partnership, as per the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing.
