Addis Ababa, August 20, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Mesganu Arga and Australian Assistant Foreign Minister Tim Watts held a productive phone call.
The conversation aims to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and exploring cooperation in sectors such as mining and green energy.
Both sides emphasized their commitment to enhancing economic ties, with Australia recognizing recent Ethiopian macroeconomic reforms that aim to boost investment.
They also touched on Ethiopia’s upcoming participation in the Africa Down Under Conference in September 2024, intended to highlight investment opportunities.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, the conversation reinforced their mutual dedication to promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development, marking a positive step in their ongoing partnership.
