Addis Ababa, December 17, 2024 (FMC) – Ethiopia and South Africa are actively seeking to enhance their bilateral relations through the BRICS framework. Today, the Ethiopia-South Africa Business Council convened an online meeting to exchange valuable insights and best practices.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that since joining the BRICS community, Ethiopia has been focused on fostering cooperation with member nations through engagements with peer institutions. The discussion emphasized the importance of collaboration between private enterprises and social development organizations as a critical area of focus among BRICS members.
To maximize the benefits of the BRICS platform, Ethiopia has established its own BRICS Business Council and is sharing experiences with similar entities from other member countries. This initiative aligns with the ongoing efforts to boost trade and economic ties between Ethiopia and South Africa.
According to the Ethiopian Embassy in Pretoria, today’s online meeting represents a significant step towards strengthening economic collaboration, with plans underway for a future session at the management board level.
