Addis Ababa, September 30, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopia affirmed its commitment to share its effective achievement and experiences in the aviation sector to Chad and strengthen the long-standing relationship between the two nations, affirmed Dagmawit Moges, Minister of Transport and Logistics.
Alongside the 41st International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Conference being held in Montreal, Canada, Ethiopia and Chad signed a bilateral agreement that will allow them to work more closely in aviation and air transport sector.
At the signing ceremony, Dagmawit Moges, Minister of Transport and Logistics, and Chad’s Minister of Civil Aviation and National Meteorology, Hissen Tahir Sugume, had fruitful discussions on bilateral aviation services and reached an agreement on this sector.
This agreement paves the way to scale up the cooperation between Ethiopia and Chad in the aviation sector.
Chad’s Minister of Civil Aviation and National Meteorology, Hissen Tahir, stated that the agreement is significant to strengthen existing relationship with Ethiopia, one of the top 5 countries with the highest performance in aviation industry among the 193 member countries of ICAO.
Along with the ongoing conference, Ethiopia is making bilateral agreements with various countries in the field of aviation and air transport.
Earlier on Friday September 30, 2022, Ethiopia and Türkiye have signed MoU through their aviation authorities to allow flights from Istanbul to Addis Ababa and from Addis Ababa to Istanbul with high capacity aircrafts, as per the Ministry of Transport and Logistics – Ethiopia.
