Addis Ababa, April 1, 2024 (FBC) – Ethio telecom has signed an agreement with Oromia Education Bureau to implement Smart Classroom solutions in selected schools.
The agreement enables the provision of 82 smart classrooms in 8 boarding schools and 33 special schools in Oromia Region by building the required digital infrastructure.
According to the national telecom company, this initiative aims to digitalize the education system, enhancing quality, reducing costs, and facilitating inclusive education.
In addition, the agreement will make education accessible to all citizens, and will help to overcome lack of educational resources, make education student-oriented and participatory, as well as provide practical lessons via state-of-the-art smart labs and produce a qualified generation to speed up the journey of digital Ethiopia.
