Addis Ababa, September 26, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiotelecom has introduced a new three-year growth strategy called “LEAD”.
The company’s CEO Frehiwot Tamru, highlighted the implementation of BRIDGE strategy in the last three fiscal years and introduced the new strategy named LEAD.
In the last 3 years, BRIDGE has laid a cornerstone for the company to become proficient, competitive, and the most preferred telecom operator, Frehiwot declared.
Since 2019/20, Ethiotelecom was able to increase the number of customers from 37 million to 66 million in three years – a 75% increase, the CEO confirmed.
The company has increased its revenue by 76 percent and recorded a 104 percent growth in expenses, she said.
According to CEO Frehiwot, Ethiotelecom’s new three-year plan strategy, LEAD, is being implemented since July 2022.
She indicated the strategy will focus on simplifying services and accelerating Ethiopia’s digital transformation by providing reliable communication and digital financial services in the next three years.
The CEO added that the strategy will work on gaining a large share in the telecom market and increasing customer service satisfaction and expanding service access.
