Ethio-Djibouti Public Diplomacy Consultation Forum Underway in Addis Ababa 

Addis Ababa, July 5, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethio-Djibouti consultation forum aimed at further consolidating the strongest bondage and fraternity between Ethiopia and Djibouti is being underway at Sky Light Hotel in the capital.

The consultation forum has brought together over hundreds of delegation members of Djibouti’s public diplomacy and senior government officials from Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to ENA report.

Moreover, the forum is set to thoroughly deliberate on the Ethiopian government endeavors on migration, climate change and its experience in Green Legacy initiative and on reflections how Ethiopian is responding for climate induced impact in the country and beyond.

A program also indicated that this afternoon, the Djibouti public diplomacy delegation and the media team are expected to visit ICT Park.

A delegation of Djibouti public diplomacy led by the country’s Secretary General of Interior Ministry Siraj Omer arrived last night at Labu Railway Station, the newly established Sheger city.

Upon arrival at Furi-Labu Railway Station of the Ethio-Djibouti Railways, the delegation was warmly welcomed by State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Birtukan Ayano and other high level government officials including mayor of Sheger city, a newly established smart city, it was learned.

The public diplomacy comprises some 112 members from the government officials, elders, journalists, members of the business community, experts, among others.

The delegation is expected to participate in various events during its stay in Ethiopia.
