Addis Ababa, August 19, 2023 (FBC) – Endashaw Tassew has been appointed as the first Deputy Chief Administrator of Central Ethiopia Region during the second day of the meeting kicked off yesterday to officially establish the new region.
He has officially taken over the regional leadership from Ristu Yirda, former Chief Administrator of the Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples Region.
The founding meeting has also approved appointments of the Deputy Chief Administrator and Speaker of the region. Endeshaw served as Commissioner General of the Ethiopian Federal Police and higher officials of the National Intelligence and Security Service.
The regional council also appointed Fatie Sermolon and Menetie Mundino as Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively.
Other appointments for the regional leadership positions have also been announced during the meeting.
