Addis Ababa, May 12, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Embassy in Kenya has participated at the first Agri-Africa Expo which was held under the theme “using Information to power Agriculture in Africa” at the Kenyata International Convention Center (KICC), Nairobi, Kenya.
The four days Expo that run from 9-12 May 2023, nearly brought together more than 170 exhibitors from all over the world, who showcased their respective agricultural products and innovations on the sector.
The Embassy has participated in showcasing agricultural products mainly Ethiopia’s pulses and Oilseeds which are highly demanded in the Kenyan market, demonstrated traditional coffee ceremony and introduced Ethiopian authentic leather products in Nairobi, Agoza Fashion.
The Expo, which attracted more than 5000 visitors, provided a unique opportunity for farmers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders to come together and learn about the latest in technologies in the sector.
The event was graced by Kello Harsama Principal Secretary (PS) for Department of crop development, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Irrigation of the Repubpic of Kenya.
Ambassador Workalemaw Desta, Deputy Head of the Embassy of the Federal democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Ambassador Tegla Loroupe, renowned Kenyan marathon legend and President of Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation and other dignitaries attended the event.
