Addis Ababa, June 29, 2023 (FBC) – Beyene Gebremeskel, Deputy Head of Mission at the Ethiopian Embassy in London, held a meeting today with Karen Taylor, CEO of Invest Africa.
On the occasion, Beyene emphasized the embassy’s desire to partner with Invest Africa to advance the promotion of Foreign Direct Investment into Ethiopia.
He also noted that working closely will benefit the two sides to accommodate investors in UK in general and reach out in organized way for the coming UK-Africa Investment Summit 2024.
Karen Taylor, for her part, expressed interest to work closely with the Embassy for the success of the upcoming summit.
According to the Ethiopian Embassy in London, the two sides agreed to work jointly to mobilise investments into Ethiopia from the United Kingdom.
Furthermore, Invest Africa agreed to prepare a draft proposal with aim to mobilize anchor investors from the UK who would be committed to participate on the upcoming summit and engage with Ethiopian government officials and business community.
