Addis Ababa, June 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has announced deployment of experts to various parts of the country to monitor human rights issues on the polling day and post-election period process.
Commission has dispatched teams of experts to all constituencies and polling stations in all regional states pursuant to its establishment proclamation article 6, it is stated.
Experts will observe the process in Election Day and Post-Election Days and collect information from candidates, observers and other stakeholders regarding voters’ human rights.
The commission also indicated that teams of experts will show up in police stations and health care institutions and conduct investigations on potential human rights issues concerning the election.
Commission called up on all stakeholders to cooperate with experts who bear badge of the institution.
