Addis Ababa, April 4, 2024 (FBC) – The Ethio Engineering Group (EEG) and the New Holland signed agreement today for the supply of semi-finished parts to assemble 500 tractors and 50 combine harvesters.
Ethio Engineering Group CEO Suleiman Dedefo and New Holland Middle East and Africa Business Director Ozkan Eren signed the agreement, according to ENA.
During the signing event, Suleiman said the tractors and combine harvesters will be ready in six months.
This collaboration signifies a significant step towards boosting domestic agricultural mechanization and aligns with the government’s initiatives to enhance agricultural productivity, he added.
Ethio Engineering Group will assemble the tractors using parts delivered by New Holland.
New Holland Middle East and Africa Business Director Eren stated that the world class company will deliver quality products to meet the countries needs and contribute to the government’s mechanization drive.
New Holland is proud to collaborate with EEG on this project and is committed to providing Ethiopian farmers with the technology they need for success, he said.
