East Africa Art and Culture Festival will open on June 14 in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, June 8, 2022 (FBC) – Ministry of Culture and Sports in partnership with Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a press briefing on preparations being held ahead of the East Africa Art and Culture Festival to start on June 14, 2022 in Addis Ababa.

On the occasion, The Culture and Sports Minister, Kejela Merdasa stated that 13 countries including Ethiopia will take part in the festival he described as a platform that would enhance regional integration.

Various artistic works such as dancing and other cultural shows representing various African countries will be presented in the festival, he said.

Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dina Mufti, for his part, noted the festival brings an opportunity that would bolster efforts underway to realize a united Africa.

The festival that will run for five consecutive days from June 14, 2022 will take place in the Friendship Square, the capital Addis Ababa.
