Addis Ababa, January 24, 2023 (FBC) – Ethio-American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) has affirmed its commitment to encourage Chamber members and the Diaspora in the US to invest in Ethiopia, according to the Ethiopian Investment Commission’s statement earlier today.
Ethio-American Chamber of Commerce delegation led by Elias Woldu, the Chamber’s Chairman, and board members visited the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC).
During the discussion, EIC Commissioner, Lelise Neme and Deputy Commissioner Temesgen Tilahun briefed the delegation on the investment opportunities and modalities for the Ethiopian diaspora, the national and EIC-specific investment climate reform initiatives, and strategies.
Meanwhile, the delegation expressed its commitment to encourage Chamber members and the Ethiopian diaspora in the US to invest in Ethiopia.
It also affirmed its commitment to support EIC in promoting Ethiopian investment opportunities for US investors.
The Chamber and EIC agreed to enhance long-term partnership strategies in investment promotion, aftercare, and capacity-building activities.
It is stated that the Ethio-American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) has more than four hundred Ethiopian Diasporas and businesses as its members.
