Addis Ababa, March 27, 2022 (FBC) – A delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen is attending the 20th Doha Forum in Qatar which is being held under the theme: “Transforming for a New Era”.
The two-day forum draws high-level government officials and CEOs and is deliberating critical global and regional developments providing clear directional and actionable recommendations.
On the margins of the forum, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke held discussions with representatives of various countries and leaders of international organizations.
In this framework, he had a meeting with Khalifa Jassim Al-Kuwari, the Director-General of the Qatar Fund for Development, an organization that manages Qatar’s foreign aid and international development activities.
Demeke lauded the multifaceted socio-economic support of the Qatar Development Fund to Ethiopia, immensely enhancing the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister also met Turkish Foreign Minister H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and discussed bilateral relations and current issues to further cement friendly relations between Ethiopia and Turkey.
