Addis Ababa, January 13, 2025 (FMC) – Princess Benedicte Astrid Ingeborg of Denmark said that her country’s government is keen to support various development undertakings in Ethiopia.
HRH Princess Benedikte vowed the commitment during her meeting with Chief Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives of Ethiopia, Mr. Taggese Chafo, at the latter’s office in Addis Ababa today.
During the course of their discussion the two dignitaries advised on the bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Denmark.
On the occasion, the Ethiopian parliament speaker said that his country also maintains a strong desire to strengthen the multifaceted and enduring relations with Denmark by working in cooperation in various fields.
He also highlighted the significant role of inclusive national dialogue being undertaken in Ethiopia to establish lasting peace in the country.
Since nationwide reforms began in Ethiopia six years ago, the government has been placing due emphasis on inclusive education, especially for women and children, as well as equality of ethnic groups in the nation.
On her part, HRH Princess Benedikte said that the Danish government is ready to support ongoing development undertaking in Ethiopia.
