Defense University leadership, Romanian Ambassador discuss areas of cooperation

Addis Ababa, August 5, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Defense University leadership held a discussion with the Romanian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Iulia Pataki, on areas of bilateral cooperation.

During the discussion, the Ambassador was briefed on the contribution of the Ethiopian Defense University to the national defense forces in providing professionals since its inception.

It was stated that the discussion also includes the historic bilateral relations between the two countries, prospects of cooperation in education and research as well as counseling and community-based services.

The FDRE Ministry of Defense post on Facebook states that the University leadership and Ambassador Iulia Pataki further consulted on the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in long and short-term training, IT and cyber security, research, digital library, and academic laboratory infrastructure.

The Commandant of Ethiopian Defense University, Brigadier General Kebede Regasa, expressed the need to further strengthen the relations with the Romanian Embassy by designing and implementing selected joint projects.

After the discussion, Ambassador Iulia visited the electrical engineering, electronics engineering laboratories and aerospace engineering workshops of the University’s College of Engineering.
