Addis Ababa, December 9, 2024 (FMC) – The Czech Republic has reaffirmed its commitment to work closely with Ethiopia in the fields of agricultural technology provision and animal husbandry.
Czechia’s intentions on this matter were disclosed during a discussion between Ethiopia’s Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Girma Amente, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, Marian Jurečka, on issues of mutual cooperation in the agriculture sector.
On the occasion, Mr. Girma highlighted his country’s promising achievements in the sector, including abundant wheat production, Bounty of the Basket, and Green Legacy initiatives.
The Ethiopian minister underscored that his country is ready to work with the Czech Republic in the field of agricultural mechanization to enhance the sector’s productivity, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
Marian Jurečka, for his part, appreciated the ongoing development work in Ethiopia and reaffirmed their country’s commitment to cooperation in the areas of agricultural technology provision and animal husbandry.
The Czech Republic delegation, led by Deputy PM Marian Jurečka, visited the Ethiopian Agricultural Businesses Corporation’s (EABC) warehouses, agricultural equipment, tractors, and assembly centers.
