Council discusses current national security issues

Addis Ababa, September 9, 2020 (FBC) –The National Security Council has set out a plan for the future after discussing on current national security issues.

In its meeting held this morning, the Council reviewed in detail the national security threats that were thwarted and others that were resulted in damages.

According to office of the Prime Minister, the Council deliberated on how to deter security threats in a coordinated manner.

The meeting highlighted government’s commitment to safeguard the sovereignty of the country, maintain peace and ensure rule of law.

The Council said the national defence forces and all security organs will scale-up their efforts to defend the country’s sovereignty, maintain peace and ensure rule of law.
