Cornerstone laid for first-ever village workers dormitory to be built with 600mln ETB in Hawassa

Addis Ababa, September 14, 2021 (FBC) – Senior government officials have laid cornerstone for a construction of the first-ever 600 Million Birr village workers dormitory in Hawassa City.

The project which is the first in its kind in Ethiopia setting with 600 is said to accommodate 1,080 housing units for 6500 residents working in Hawassa Industrial Park and will be completed in mid 2023.

The groundbreaking ceremony of Hawassa Village Workers Dormitory that is developed by Cornerstone development group and co partners held at Hawassa Industry Park with the presence of Deputy Commissioner Daniel Teressa and other senior officials.
