Addis Ababa, November 25, 2024 (FBC) – The Africa Continental Conference on Peace, Prosperity, and Development has officially begun in Addis Ababa, centered around the theme “Building a Peaceful and Prosperous Africa.”
Ethiopian President Taye Atske-Selassie, alongside Speaker of the House of Federation Agegnehu Teshager and Peace Minister Binalf Andualem, is participating in the conference.
High-ranking officials from various African nations are also in attendance, including South Africa’s Defense Minister, Matsie Angelina Motshekga, as well as representatives from Rwanda, Burundi, Liberia, and South Sudan.
Also present are Ramiz Alakbarov, the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Ethiopia, and Ambassador Bankole Adewoye, the African Union Commissioner for Political, Peace, and Security Affairs.
