Addis Ababa, October 5, 2022 (FBC) – Companies operating in Aegean Free Trade Zone of Turkiye have expressed interest to invest in Ethiopia.
The pledge by companies came at a time when an Ethiopian delegation led by Deputy CEO of Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) visited the Aegean Free Trade Zone’s leadership situated in Izmir, historical and vibrant city of Turkiye.
Director General of the Aegean Free Trade Zone briefed the Ethiopian delegation on major activities in the trade and industrial region.
The Ethiopian side, for its part, shed light on the flourishing opportunities in the country’s investment climate and untapped agricultural resources that can feed the booming agro processing sector.
Companies in the free trade zone have affirmed commitment to explore opportunities in Ethiopia so as to join the investment climate.
The Aegean Free Trade Zone (AFZ) is a modern industrial park and the first export-processing zone in Turkey developed and operated by a private sector company.
