Addis Ababa, March 11, 2021 (FBC) – Administrative Boundaries and Identity Issues Commission and Policy Studies Institute have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together on boundary and identity issues.
The MoU was signed today by Administrative Boundaries and Identity Issues Commission Commissioner, Tassew Gebre and Mekuria Haile, Director General of Policy Studies Institute.
Following the signing ceremony, Tassew said the commission will work together with the institute on four major areas such as administrative boundary, self-determination, identity issues and alternative policy recommendations.
He added that the institute will help the commission in providing alternative policy recommendation inputs to settle problems associated with boundary and identity related issues in the country.
Director General of Institute, Mekuria Haile said the institute will work to provide alternative policy recommendations to the commission in a bid to resolve identity and boundary related issues.
The two sides also agreed to work in collaborations through conducting joint researches, capacity building trainings, and among others, according to ENA.
