Addis Ababa, October 6, 2022 (FBC) – Addis Ababa City Administration has confirmed the signing of construction contract to build two mega projects with 7.6 billion Birr total cost.
The contract signing was held in the Mayor Office of Addis Ababa City Administration.
The first mega project is said to be the construction of two projects in Lemi Kura sub-city and one project in Kolfe Keranyo sub-city at a total cost of more than 6.1 billion birr.
This huge project will help ensure a reliable supply of agricultural products in the Capital city and stabilize the market so that affordable products can be provided to the producer and the consumer.
The second mega project is the construction of the B+G+8 project for the expansion of the Zewditu Memorial Hospital, which will be built with the commitment to increase the health sector at a total cost of 1.5 billion birr.
Mayor of Addis Ababa City Administration, Adanech Abiebie, stated the construction expansion of the Hospital includes 200 patient cots, 27 emergency treatment rooms and conference halls including surgical and physiotherapy treatments.
Stating a directive to the concerned bodies, she underlined that the construction of the projects should be completed quickly and with quality within the planned time limit and be used for the benefit of the public.
The construction of these mega projects will be undertaken by OVID Group and Tesfeye Haile Construction companies.
