Addis Ababa, September 24, 2024 (FBC) – Several Chinese companies have disclosed intentions to visit Ethiopia soon to conduct pre-investment assessment in various sectors, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing.
The companies’ interest was learned during a the meeting between Ambassador Tefera Derbew, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China and senior officials of the companies earlier today at the Embassy’s premises.
The discussions focused on potential investment opportunities in Ethiopia, particularly in agriculture, agro-processing (grain, oil, sugar, cotton, and meat), construction and building materials, energy, infrastructure, as well as the culture and media sectors.
Subsequently, the companies expressed their keen interest in conducting a pre-investment visit to Ethiopia to explore these sectors further, as per the Embassy.
