Addis Ababa, April 8, 2024 (FBC) – China’s Wuxi No.1 Cotton Textile Company shareholders along with the esteemed Guolian Group, Guolian Group, a large-scale comprehensive state-owned enterprise group, expressed a profound interest in furthering their ventures within the Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone.
The Chinese companies’ interest was disclosed during a meeting between Deputy Commissioner of Ethiopian Investment Commission, Mr. Dagato Kumbe and a Chinese delegation led by Madam Zhou.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner affirmed the government’s steadfast commitment to supporting Wuxi’s ongoing success and the realization of its forthcoming investment endeavors.
On her part, Madam Zhou provided comprehensive insights into the company’s strategic initiatives, including plans for expanding innovative trade models and sourcing cotton from local suppliers. Additionally, discussions about critical infrastructure concerns and related matters were addressed.
