Addis Ababa, February 7, 2020 (FBC) –Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau has arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for an official working visit.
Upon arrival at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, he was welcomed by Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed.
During his visit, the Canadian PM will hold talks with PM Dr Abiy, President Sahle-Work Zewde, Ethiopian partners and stakeholders.
Accompanied by the Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, Mary Ng, and her trade delegation, the Prime Minister will promote trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
He will also meet with world leaders attending the 33rd African Union (AU) Summit, and participate in side events focused on deepening Canada’s relationships with African countries.
PM Trudeau will then travel to Dakar, Senegal, where he will meet with the President of Senegal, Macky Sall.
Finally, he will attend the Munich Security Conference in Germany, according to the Prime Minister’s office.
