Addis Ababa, February 8, 2023 (FBC) – Canadian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Joshua Tabah, stated that his government is supporting disability inclusive education program in University of Gondar.
The statement was made when the Ambassador visited activities being collaboratively undertaken in the university.
According to the Ambassador, Gondar University is implementing a ten year disability inclusive education project with a budget of 25 million USD it secured from MasterCard Foundation and Canada’s Queen’s University.
Ambassador Joshua Tabah reaffirmed the commitment of the Canadian Government to continue supporting the education sector in Ethiopia in a way that helps cement bilateral relations between the two countries.
Research and Technology Transfer Deputy President of University of Gondar, Binyam Chaklu (PhD), for his part, said that the joint works underway to spur inclusive teaching-learning are bearing fruits, pledging more efforts for success of the project.
