Addis Ababa, October 22, 2021 (FBC) – Women and Children Affairs Bureau of Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ regional State (SNNPS) distributes food and clothing to people displaced by flood in Dasenech District, South Omo.
The overall support worth a little over 4 million birr, among others, includes flour, edible oil and sugar.
Bureau head Beydi Mundino says that among the 63, 000 displaced people in the district eighty percent are children and women.
According to Communications Office of SNNPS, the zonal administration has said that activities are underway to find a lasting solution for the recurrent flooding in the locality.
