Addis Ababa, February 16, 2024 (FBC) – Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva today visited the recently inaugurated Adwa Victory Memorial Museum in Addis Ababa, the Mayor Office of Addis Ababa City Administration confirmed.
During his visit to the museum, President da Silva, along with First Lady Janja Lula Silva, laid a wreath at the Adwa Victory Monument. While visiting the memorial site, he was also accompanied by Mayor of Addis Ababa Ms. Adanech Abiebie and Minister of Finance Mr. Ahmed Shide.
Note that the Brazilian leader has arrived in Addis Ababa late last night for an official state visit to Ethiopia, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia. Upon his arrival at Bole International Airport, President Da Silva was received by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie.
