Bishoftu town welcomes guests ahead of tomorrow’s Irreechaa Hora Harsade festival

Addis Ababa, October 5, 2024 (FBC) – Thousands of guests from all parts of Oromia and other regions are arriving in Bishoftu town to celebrate Irreecha Hora Harsade festival, which will be held tomorrow morning.

Recall that Irreechaa Hora Finfinne was colorfully held in Addis Ababa and concluded early this morning.

Accordingly, Bishoftu town is busy in welcoming and hosting its guests coming from different parts of Oromia region and other parts of the country for Irreechaa festival.

Alemayehu Aseffa, Mayor of Bishoftu city told the Ethiopian News Agency that the city administration in  collaboration with various partners has made extensive preparations to ensure that vibrant Irreecha festival will be held  in the city.

Various service providers in Bishoftu town, including restaurants, coffee shops, and traditional clothing stores are busy providing their services.

Irreechaa is held in peace, love and unity, conveying messages to the Oromo people across all age groups to forge unity and cultural identity.

It typically takes place every year in late September or early October, coinciding with the end of the rainy season and the onset of spring.
