Addis Ababa, March 8, 2021 (FBC) –The Ethiopian Electric Power inaugurated the Beles-Jawi power transmission line project built in Awi administrative zone, Amhara regional state.
The 61km and 132Kv transmission line will supply 120MW electric power to the huge Beles sugar plant and meets electricity demand of Jawi town and its environs, it was noted at the event.
Fully financed by the government of Ethiopia, the project also took into consideration the potential of the areas for establishment of agro-processing plants.
The inaugural event of the project was attended by ministers as well as federal and regional officials, including Chief Administrator of Amhara regional state, Agegnehu Teshager.
