Addis Ababa, December 27, 2022 (FBC) – Residents of Aksum city said they are optimistic that the return of peace in Tigray region will revive their income from tourism sector.
In an exclusive interview with Fana Broadcasting Corporate, residents of Axum city insisted that the conflict in the area has cut off their income from tourism which many citizens used to rely on.
According to the individuals who make a living out of tour guiding the heritage sites in Axum city, they say that tourism was interrupted following the outbreak of the conflict, stating that they are facing difficulties along with their families due to the disruption of the sector of the sector.
They are hopeful that with the peace returning now, their tourism business will revive and their living conditions will be improved.
Fana Broadcasting Corporate correspondents who are observing various areas of the region confirmed that peace is returning in Axum city and its surroundings.
