Addis Ababa, December 19, 2024 (FMC) – Ethiopia’s Minister of Trade and Regional Integration, Kasahun Goffe, invited Asian companies to tap the bourgeoning investment opportunities in his country.
Cooperation in trade and investment between Ethiopia and Asian-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry was brought to attention in a meeting between Mr. Kasahun and the Founder and Director-General of the Chamber GD Singh, held in Addis Ababa earlier today.
In a message posted on his social media page, the minister mentioned that the discussion was about trade and investment cooperation issues.
The discussion, according to Kasahun, focused on trade relations between Ethiopia and the Asian business community, knowledge and technology transfer and other issues.
During the course of the meeting, the minister invited Asian investors to tap huge investment potentials in Ethiopia across various sectors.
He also emphasized that the Asian markets should be more open to Ethiopian products, and that the Chamber should work closely with Ethiopian trade and sector associations in this regard.
The members of the delegation also visited the recently opened Ethiopian Export Trade Exhibition Center in Addis Ababa.
