Addis Ababa, May 30, 2021 (FBC) – Dire Dawa city and other towns of Ethiopia have witnessed massive rallies staged against foreign meddling into the nation’s internal affairs.
Thousands drawn from various localities of Dire Dawa city demonstrated peaceful protest against the meddling of foreign forces into Ethiopia’s domestic affairs.
Demonstrators demand the U.S. and other countries and organizations to stop intrusion into Ethiopia’s internal matters.
Semera town has also hosted a massive rally in which anti-foreign meddling slogans were shouted by the protesters. “Ethiopia doesn’t need a caretaker”, “The generation will never compromise Ethiopia’s sovereignty”, among others were resonatd on the demonstration in Semera town.
Furthermore, a rally was held in Harar town in the presence of Harari Region’s chief administrator Ordin Bedri demanding foreign powers hand off Ethiopia.
Worabi, Hosaena, Wolayta and Gambela town are also among the areas that hosted huge gatherings of people who denounced interference of the U.S., other countries meddling in Ethiopia’s domestic issues and sovereignty.
