Addis Ababa, May 9, 2024 (FBC) – Ambassador of Ethiopia to UN Geneva and Switzerland, Tsegab Kebebew presented his letters of credence to Mr. Tamás Sulyo, the President of Hungary, accrediting him as a Non Resident Ethiopia’s ambassador to Hungary in a ceremony held on May 8 2024 at Sandor Palace in the capital, Budapest.
Ambassador Tsegab paid a courtesy call on the President, where he expressed his desire to continue developing the bilateral relations across all domains between the two nations.
He also thanked the Hungarian government for the agreement made by the two parties to double the scholarship opportunities granted by the Hungarian government to Ethiopian students from 50 to 100.
Ambassador Tsegab reiterated the firm commitment of the Government of Ethiopia to further strengthen both bilaleral and multilateral relations with Hungary.
President Tamás Sulyo, on his part, wished the Ambassador success in his work to enhance the bilateral ties between the two countries, while highlighting his country’s readiness to provide him with the required support in facilitating his duties.
After the credentials presentation ceremony, Ambassador Tsegab also visited the ‘Hero’s Square’, laid wreath, and paid homage to Hungary’s national heroes, as per Ethiopian Permanent Mission in Geneva.
