Addis Ababa, December 27, 2021 (FBC) – Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the United Nations (UN), Taye Atskeselassie has called for tribute to heroes and heroines who sacrificed themselves for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ethiopia.
Addressing a webinar meeting organized International Consortium of Ethiopian Diaspora, Ambassador Taye called on Ethiopians to nurture habit of encouraging brave fighters for their sacrifices to safeguard sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation.
On the other hand, he said that the GreatEthiopianHomeComing program will better deliver a great political message to powers that are pressuring Ethiopia. He further called on the diaspora community to join the GreatEthiopianHomeComing Challenge and show their strong solidarity with their homeland.
Perseverance of Ethiopians emanate from their love for peace, he said, calling for peaceful dialogue and related mechanisms to address circumstances.
He further expressed optimism that Ethiopians will better serve and care for the Diaspora who are returning home based on their deep-seated culture of hospitality.
