Addis Ababa, August 29, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Minister of Peace, Binalf Andualem, met with Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin, to discuss ways to strengthen the relationship between the two nations.
During the meeting, Minister Binalf emphasized the importance of fostering people-to-people connections between the two countries and advancing cooperation on peace initiatives in Ethiopia.
He highlighted the longstanding historical and cultural bonds between Ethiopia and Russia, calling Moscow to support Ethiopia’s national and international endeavors aimed at reinforcing these ties.
Ambassador Terekhin, for his part, reaffirmed Russia’s role as a steadfast partner of Ethiopia, expressing the federation’s commitment to backing Ethiopia’s quest for enduring peace.
The Ministry of Peace announced it would provide tangible assistance to bolster the collaborative efforts of both countries in nurturing their historical relations.
