Addis Ababa, August 10, 2023 (FBC) – As part of Ethiopia’s Green legacy Initiative Jemal Beker, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to Islamic Republic of Pakistan, has planted tree seedlings at Fatima Jinnah Park, Islamabad.
The initiative was aimed at fostering a robust partnership between Ethiopia and Pakistan in addressing climate change challenges.
The Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad stated the tree plantation event not only symbolizes the commitment of both nations to environmental conservation but also signifies their joint efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
Addressing the students of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, the ambassador emphasized the importance of innovative ideas in countering the looming threat of climate change.
He said the youth had critical role in countering the climate change and preserving the planet earth for future generations.
