Addis Ababa, December 11, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Sudan, Yibeltal Aemro held talks with Under Secretary of Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Sherif on current situation in Ethiopia.
Ambassador Yibeltal told the Under Secretary that Ethiopia has already completed the law enforcement operation in Tigray, and is now working to bring the TPLF Clique to justice.
The ambassador explained that the federal government is currently restoring social services, delivering humanitarian assistance to people affected by the operation and carrying out maintenance works to fully restore infrastructural facilities in the region destroying by belligerent attacks of the TPLF Clique.
According to the ambassador, culprits of TPLF Clique who are now sheltered in Sudanese camps with other civilian refugees are disseminating disinformation to international media contrary to what is going on in Ethiopia.
Under Secretary of the Sudanese Foreign Affairs Ministry, Mohammed Sherif, to his part, assured the ambassador that Sudan is closely following up the situation in Ethiopia pledging all the necessary support to bring an end to the challenges mentioned by the ambassador.
Sudan has now hosted thousands of Ethiopian refugees who fled the situation in Tigray, according to Ethiopian Embassy in Sudan.
