Addis Ababa, December 19, 2020 (FBC) -Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the UN, Taye Atske Selassie, held discussion with Ambassador Volkan BOZKIR, the President of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA75).
The two discussed on current developments in Ethiopia and regional issues as well as the role of the African Union (AU) and other regional organizations.
According to a tweet by Ethiopia at the UN, they also exchanged views on the need to strengthen multilateral cooperation in the context of COVID19 vaccine.
In a related development, Ambassador Taye yesterday met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Mark Lowcock.
They discussed humanitarian emergency funding and the need to focus on the effective and expeditious delivery of much needed supplies to Tigray regional state, northern Ethiopia.
