Addis Ababa, May 4, 2023 (FBC) – Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to Pakistan Ambassador Jemal Beker met and discussed with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Vice President Umar Masood.
The discussion focused on organizing ‘Ethiopia-Pakistan Business Forum’ in Islamabad to connect the country’s business community in May.
During the discussion Ambassador Jemal expressed his gratitude to the vice President for his commitment to the business forum as well as Ethio-Pakistan relations.
He also appreciated Umar Masood for his pivotal role he has played to realize Ethiopia-Pakistan Business Forum and to bring Ethiopia business delegation to Pakistan.
It is to be recall that the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) in Pakistan and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) agreed to hold an “Ethiopia-Pakistan Business Forum’ in Karachi during the second week of May to boost bilateral trade by connecting business community of the two countries.
According to the Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad, the forum aims to boost bilateral trade by connecting business community of the two countries.
The decision to this effect was taken during a meeting between the Ethiopian Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Jemal Beker Abdula and TDAP Chairperson, Zubair Motiwala.
During the meeting, both the dignitaries discussed modalities for the forum wherein high-level official and business delegations from Ethiopia will also take part for further cementing business-to-business relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Jemal Beker said the forum would not only help business communities of both the countries to work out a comprehensive strategy for bolstering bilateral trade, but also enable them to establish strong linkages.
